Here That Echo?

It’s coming from an empty blog. I’m taking some flack for not posting, so let’s just explain a couple of things. First, Ash is now back from being gone for 5 weeks. We moved in on a Saturday and he left on like Wednesday or Thursday. So, I was a BIT busy taking care of house stuff and two toddlers alone in a new city where I know no one or how to get anywhere (insert thanks to Garmin here). Now I hope I’m able to get back on track. Still, we have a large list of things that needed to be done but I couldn’t do alone (let’s be honest, couldn’t do, or didn’t want to attempt to do, like putting together a tricycle and a cedar swing set). He’s checking things off that list like a champ, though, I must say.

Right now, we don’t have our wifi hooked up (another one of those things on that aforementioned list) so I can’t just open my computer when I have a spare moment. I have to go into our spare bedroom (where we don’t have a desk or anything to put a computer on) and sit with my computer on my lap to type, while trying to keep little hands from pressing buttons or hit the screen. It’s just not a situation that lends itself to writing. What’s strange is that the kids can be totally engrossed in doing something and I just go to check my mail and they drop everything to come into the room and interfere help.

I think I need a full time job outside my home. Then I would have plenty of spare time to blog and surf the net- of course I’m talking about over my lunch break, right?

Char… glad you’re back… I’ve missed you, but figured you were super busy getting settled. Love some pics when you have a chance.

BTW… Madalynn does the EXACT same thing when I get on my laptop… I can be totatlly ignored by her as she is so occupied by her present activity until I pop open my computer… then she drops aforementioned activity & makes a bee line to me… cracks me up every time!!

Charlet. . . you are so brave! It amazes me the way your life and Ashley’s life is structured. It’s always in a contact state of flux but you guys seem so grounded. I just think it’s such a testament to the type of people you guys are. I’m in awe is all I can say! It’s really cool that you don’t seem flustered by the complexity of it all. I hope all is well. Ava and Binh are really cute kids. You’re very lucky!
